'K Plastics & Rubber Fair' - fulfilling aspirations of the global plastics business for over 50 years
The global plastics industry awaits "K 2004" to be held
from 20 to 27 October this year. 'K Plastics & Rubber Fair'
- the international plastics and rubber trade exhibition, continuing
on the path of steady growth for over 50 years, is expected to fulfill
the aspirations of the global plastics business. K Plastics and
Rubber Fair held at Dusseldorf every 3 years is expected to be the
greatest showcase of new ideas and innovations, covering the gamut
of the plastics industry - from the machinery sector to other areas
of plastics business- be it raw materials, additives, processed
products or peripheral equipments. In all probability, it is the
greatest meeting place for the plastics industry, where players
from the entire spectrum of plastics and rubber business are present
to benchmark their products and exchange newer ideas of business
with an aim to enhance their individual business prospect for the
forthcoming 3 years.
K 2004, will be spread over 160,000 sq. meters, an exhibition space
almost 5% more in size as compared to K 2001, though the number
of exhibitors is expected to be fewer by about 10%. This increase
in exhibition space is remarkable, as it is seen when the plastics
and rubber business is considered to be nearing maturity. Increasing
global business demands an understanding of the common requirements
of the customers spread all across the globe. K 2004 would provide
a platform to understand the dynamics of global customers.
As expected, more than 65% of the exhibition space will be occupied
by processing equipment. European players from Germany, Italy and
Austria as well as Switzerland, with significant presence in the
global business of processing equipment, will be the major exhibitors
at K 2004. Taiwan, and interestingly India, are also increasing
their presence at K 2004 to showcase their expertise in the processing
equipment sector.
K 2004, with its theme " Vision-Innovation-Business",
has a special show on the use of plastics and rubber in sports and
leisure activities to commemorate the 2004 Olympics to be held at
Athens. This is certainly not an event that a serious and prospective
plastics/rubber business person can afford to miss. The mature business
of plastics and rubber needs to have a "Vision" to ensure
that these products continue to outpace the global economic growth.
To catalyze growth in the newer area "Innovation " is
essential. Finally the global business requires better understanding
among the business partners. K 2004 will provide all the ammunition
to achieve all these objectives.
